Description | Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) is used to nourish yin, and in ancient times was also said to free the vessels. Zhi Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix Praeparata), Da Zao (Jujubae Fructus) and Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) supplement heart qi and spleen qi, while E Jiao (Asini Corii Colla), Huo Ma Ren and Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) nourish yin and blood. Gui Zhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) and Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens) are warm and freeing, and they warm and free the blood and vessels while preventing stagnation.
