When this dynamic is disturbed, the resulting zang-fu patterns are "Liver Qi invading the Stomach," or "Liver Qi invading the Spleen." These patterns are prevalent in modern life, with the undue amount of speed and stress in our lives. Disturbances of normal life rhythms will disrupt the coursing and smooth flow of the Liver Qi causing stagnation and oppression.
