Description This is a good formula for common cold or flu causing high fever with constipation, sore or dry throat, and heat sensation in the lungs. It is very useful in pediatric fevers and headache. The Chinese also use it for skin carbuncles, heat rash, and mania. In the Japanese kanpo tradition, due to the purgative effects of Mirabilte Mang Xiao and Rheum Da huang, it is also used for weight reduction. (Fratkin, Chinese Herbal Patent Medicines)
