Bupleurem Root - Chai Hu - Bupleurum chinensis radix

Entering the Gallbladder, Liver, Pericardium, and Triple Burner channels, Bupleuri Radix (chai hu) is bitter, acrid, cool, and light in weight so that it raises and disperses to vent the exterior and drain heat.
