pH Hydrion Papers, 1 Roll

pH Hydrion Papers, 1 Roll

pH Hydrion Papers, 1 Roll

SKU PERQ124
Brand Perque Integrative Health Supplements
Unit Size 1 Roll - approximately 50 tests
Description

Determine the pH of their own urine and saliva using convenient Hydrion® colorimetric test paper. The limited pH range (5.5 to 8.0) assures accuracy within the range of physiological normalcy. Color scale is printed on the label of each dispenser at intervals of 0.2 pH unti. Roll is sufficient for approximately 50 tests.

The internal environment of our bodies is maintained at a pH of just about 7.0. This means our internal environment is alkaline.

Maintenance of this state is a dynamic, not static, process mediated moment to moment by numerous reactions that produce acid products. Our internal chemical equilibrium is primarily controlled by our lungs, kidneys, intestines, and skin. For necessary reactions and functions to occur, our body must maintain a proper pH.

Body balance, in terms of acid-alkaline state, is a pH of 7.450 for blood in the arteries and 7.350 for blood in the veins. Acid-alkaline equivalence is a pH of 7.000. Thus, a healthy body means a pH that is slightly alkaline. This means there are more buffering mineral receptors for electrons than acid- forming electron donors.

The Importance of an Alkaline Diet

The internal environment of our bodies is maintained at a pH of about 7.0, indicating an alkaline state. This equilibrium is dynamically regulated by various bodily systems such as the lungs, kidneys, intestines, and skin. These systems ensure proper pH levels are sustained to facilitate necessary bodily functions. Adequate alkaline reserves are crucial for optimal pH balance, requiring oxygen, water, and acid-buffering minerals to regulate pH levels effectively while eliminating waste products.

When the body maintains an alkaline environment, essential metabolic, enzymatic, immunologic, and repair mechanisms operate optimally. However, stress, inflammation, and diets rich in fats and proteins can produce acid-forming metabolites. These are neutralized effectively only when sufficient mineral-buffering reserves are available. Alkaline-forming foods contribute these essential mineral-buffering reserves, crucial for maintaining overall health.

Most vegetables and fruits contain higher proportions of alkaline-forming elements compared to other foods. Surprisingly, even foods with an acidic taste like citrus fruits and rhubarb leave alkaline residues due to their organic acids, which metabolize into alkalinizing bicarbonates.

Body balance, in terms of acid-alkaline state, is ideal at a pH slightly above neutral. Foods rich in protein and fat tend to be acid-forming, while those with large amounts of carbohydrates and minerals are alkaline-forming.

In summary, an alkaline diet, primarily composed of fruits, vegetables, lentils, seeds, and roots, promotes a healthful pH balance in the body. Conversely, diets rich in grains, meats, dairy products, and processed foods tend to be acidifying.
