Regulate and Harmonize Liver & Spleen

These formulas are used when there is an imbalance between the Liver and Spleen functions. When Liver qi is constrained it can move and violate the Spleen and Stomach. When the Spleen qi is deficient its transportive functions are diminished which results in constraint of spreading Liver qi.

Common symptoms:

  • stifling sensation in chest
  • hypochondriac pain
  • epigastric or abdominal distention and / or pain
  • reduced appetite
  • diarrhea
  • alternating fever and chills in severe cases
