They say you should take copper with zinc, is this true?

Individuals may need copper supplementation when taking over 50-100 mg of zinc daily. Our formula is excellent at filling in the gaps in your diet by providing up to 15 mg of zinc. (suggested use: 1 ml twice daily). So, you can take our zinc formula on its own or add copper supplementation at your discretion.

Can children take this product?

Zinc is a necessary nutrient for everyone. Since our formula is mainly for adults 18 years and up, it may help to speak with your child's healthcare provider to discuss an appropriate serving size.

Is there a "best" time to take this zinc...empty stomach, with/without food, etc?

Zinc is gentler on the stomach than other zinc supplements and can be taken with or without food, at any time of day, depending on your preference and digestive sensitivities.

Are there certain things to avoid taking with zinc?

We mostly recommend that customers take medications at least two hours after taking zinc to avoid interactions. Zinc may also interfere with the effectiveness of certain antibiotics. However, if you're only taking supplements, then the two-hour gap is suggested to ensure maximum absorption, but it's not as vital in these cases, and you can consume it as needed at your discretion.

Is it safe to take Zinc while pregnant?

Zinc is a necessary nutrient while pregnant or breastfeeding, and generally, we recommend taking 1 ml of zinc twice daily; however, please also check in with your healthcare provider to ensure that you get the appropriate amount of zinc for your needs and situation.

How much zinc is too much?

Prolonged zinc intake over 50 mg per day may cause interference and depletion of other necessary minerals such as copper. Depletion of copper can reduce iron levels.

Can zinc be taken with other minerals such as calcium, magnesium, or iron?

It is best to take calcium at different times because zinc can lower the absorption of calcium when taken together. Taking iron or calcium with zinc may reduce zinc absorption. Taking zinc with magnesium may interfere with magnesium absorption.

Is this product tested for heavy metal contamination?
