Description | Shi Quan Da Bu Wan combines Chen Shiwen\'s two formulas, Si Jun Zi Tang and Si Wu Tang, and adds two warming herbs, Astragalus Huang Qi and Cinnamomum Rou Gui. Astragalus Huang Qi reinforces the effect of building Qi and Blood, while Cinnamomum Rou Gui (cinnamon bark) warms the Kidney and Uterus. The formula is often used by women following menses as a general tonic. It is also used by the aged as a general tonic and following surgery of chronic illness. In modern clinical terms, it is considered effective for microcirculation, adrenal function, treatment of gastric ulcer and increasing immunological function.
