Description

A key aspect of treating skin conditions with Chinese medicine is to administer herbs both internally and topically.*

Hot Spots Healed
Thanks for an amazing remedy! My black lab used to get hot spots all the time. We started using Skin Repair during the last outbreak, and she hasn’t had a spot since!

Skin Repair: Hot Spots, Sores & More - Internal Blend is designed to promote healing of skin lesions from within the body.*

Sores and lesions in Chinese medicine that appear moist, swollen, or contain pus are said to have pathologic dampness.*

Sores that are red, pink, or are blood-streaked, also have an element of toxic heat. Yellow discharge is another sign that heat has combined with dampness. To disperse swelling & inflammation and eliminate toxins, herbs are used that resolve dampness and clear toxic heat.*

These damp-heat sores can be caused from various factors. There may be an internal imbalance, meaning that pathologic dampness and toxic heat have built up in the body due to poor diet, weak digestion, stress, or other causes. The dog may feel restless and spend a lot of time scratching and rubbing. Here, the damp-heat from within the body expresses on the skin through sores, lesions, scabbing, or discharge.*

External factors causing sores and lesions come from the aftermath of an injury like a bite or cut.*

Treatment aims to heal the lesions by eliminating dampness and clearing heat, promote healing of the skin, and stop pain and itching.*

The Chinese medicine treatment principles of this blend are to -
• Eliminate Damp*
• Clear Heat*
• Promote Healing of Skin*
• Stop Pain & Itching*
• Supplement Spleen*

    Directions & Dosage

Treatment Course - As a general rule, the longer a dog has suffered with a health problem the longer it takes to resolve. Some conditions heal within a week or two. Others require longer treatment. If treatment is given for more than two weeks, we recommend treating for 8 days on and two days off.

Mix blend into food. Refrigerate when open.

Because of the sweet flavor of the glycerine in our blends, most dogs enjoy the taste. Some dogs may need the herbs to be mixed into wet food.

    Dosage

    1-25 pound dogs - 10-15 drops, 2-3x/day
    26-60 pound dogs - 20-40 drops, 2-3x/day
    61 pounds and up - 1-2 dropperfuls, 2-3x/day

A squeeze of the dropper bulb fills it about halfway up. This is considered a “dropperful.”
One dropper is approximately 45 drops.
