  • Tonifies the Spleen qi and augments the Spleen yin:  for Spleen and Stomach qi deficiency with lassitude, fatigue, and loss of appetite.  Also for Spleen and Stomach yin deficiency with dry mouth, loss of appetite, loss of taste, dry stools, and a dry, red tongue.*
  • Enriches the yin and moistens the Lungs:  for dry cough with little sputum production due to Lung qi and yin deificiency and cough due to consumption.  Can be used for any type of cough where dryness is significant.  Also used for enxhaustion of Kidney essence with lower back pain, lightheadedness, and weakness of the lower extremities along with wasting and thirsting disorder.*
