Contraindications

Contraindicated with Yin deficiency with Heat, hypertensive patients with Liver Yang uprising. Excessively large doses can cause headache, insomnia, palpitations and elevated blood pressure. White ginseng is more cooling than red ginseng and more appropriate for nourishing Yin and fluids. It is similar to American Ginseng, but better for supplementing Qi.
