This is an effective formula for dysmenorrhea with clots and heavy bleeding. It can also be used for small uterine fibroids (3 cm by 3 cm and smaller). Typha Pu Huang helps break apart clots while minimizing heavy bleeding. Foeniculum Xiao Hui Xiang and Zingiberis Gan Jiang warm the uterus. For severe cases, begin dosing with ovulation and continue until the menstrual cramps cease during the period. In less severe cases, take as needed once cramps begin.
