  • Opens the orifices, awakens the spirit, and unblocks closed disorders:  for impaired consciousness, various types of fainting and convulsions.*
  • Clears heat, drains fire, resolves toxicity, clears the eyes, removes superficial visual obstructions, and stops pain:  for heat leading to such problems as headache, read and swollen eyes, superficial visual obstructions, and sores in the mouth.*
  • Clears heat, alleviates pain, dissipates nodules, and alleviates itching:  applied topically for pain and swelling of the throat, skin diseases such a sores and scabies, and eye diseases such as photophobia or excessive tearing.  Commonly used in topically-applied powders to regenerate flesh.*
