Description

Chinese medicine uses the term “Bi Pain” to describe pain and stiffness in the muscles, tendons, bones and joints. Bi Pain translates to a painful obstruction.*

Sparky Loves It!

Our 8-year-old dachshund, Sparky, is jumping and playing since starting Joint & Muscle Blend. It’s made a major difference in his life.

According to the theories of Chinese medicine, the pathogenic factors that cause Bi Pain are wind and dampness. Change in the location or position of pain indicates wind. Heaviness, swelling, or numbness indicates dampness.*

Commonly in dogs and cats, wind and dampness combine together with blood stasis creating joint pain. Pain caused by blood stasis is fixed and sharp in nature, and often feels worse at night.*

Chinese medicine teaches that “new diseases are in the channels; enduring diseases enter the network vessels.” This means that conditions that are chronic or enduring in nature result in blood stasis which obstructs and hinders the free flow of the network vessels (the smallest vessels in the body).*

The Chinese medicine treatment principles of the blend are to -
• Stop Pain*
• Extinguish Wind & Transform Dampness*
• Quicken the Blood*
• Free the flow of the network vessels*

Specific herbs are included in Joint & Muscle Blend which address pain in the limbs.*

    Directions & Dosage

Treatment Course - As a general rule, the longer an animal has suffered with a health problem the longer it takes to resolve. Some conditions heal within a week or two. Others require longer treatment. If treatment is given for more than two weeks, we recommend treating for 8 days on and two days off.

Mix blend into food. Refrigerate when open.

Because of the sweet flavor of the glycerine in our blends, most pets enjoy the taste. Some may need the herbs to be mixed into wet food.

    Dosage

    1-25 pound cats and dogs - 10-15 drops, 2-3x/day
    26-60 pound dogs - 20-40 drops, 2-3x/day
    61 pounds and up - 1-2 dropperfuls, 2-3x/day

A squeeze of the dropper bulb fills it about halfway up. This is considered a “dropperful.”
One dropper is approximately 45 drops.

    Cautions & Contraindications

Use with caution if combined with blood thinning medication.
