PB133 - Diabet
*Diabet is formulated for excessive thirst that is not quenched by a substantial intake of fluids, frequent, copious, or turbid urine, lassitude, shortness of breath, and a deficient, thin, and weak pulse.
This is one type of wasting and thirsting disorder due to yin deficiency. The Kidneys are deficient, the Stomach is dry, and the qi is too weak to spread the fluids. Persistent thirst is due to qi deficiency, which prevents the proper spreading of the fluids, and to Stomach dryness, which depletes the body fluids. The Kidneys have lost their power to grasp, and the Spleen cannot hold in substances. This causes the fluids to flow into the Bladder, producing turbid or copious urination. Lassitude, shortness of breath, and a deficient, weak pulse reflect the deficiency of qi, while the thin pulse reflects the deficiency of yin.
